Check out these latest sweet photos from Iron Man 3! We get a new look at the Iron Patriot, plus Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark. Also, actress Rebecca Hall and an Iron Man mask that has definitely seen better days.
I can’t say I love the concept of the trailer for a trailer, but I’m still very psyched to see a few seconds of Iron Man 3, along with the official synopsis.
Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

The new Mark VII armor that will be seen in Iron Man 3 made it’s debut at Comic-Con, and it’s very heavy on the yellow. Aside from an image makeover, the new look seems to lend credibility to rumors that Warren Ellis’ Extremis storyline will figure into the movie. While the armor itself looked pretty cool, it’s one thing to see an empty, motionless prop and another thing entirely to see how it looks in action, as in this concept art. What do you think so far of the Mark VII? Do you have any fan favorite Iron Man armor you’d like to see on screen one of these days?
Shane Black was only recently confirmed to be directing a live-action “Death Note” adaptation, but it’s a gig he may soon have to put aside. The “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” director is reportedly in the running now for an even more high-profile comic book movie, a little sequel called “Iron Man 3.”
