Joe Kubert Passes, Age 85

Comics legend Joe Kubert passed today at the age of 85.

In addition to illustrating comics from Hawkman in the Golden Age to the recent Before Watchmen: Nite Owl with son Andy, he founded The Kubert School - formerly known as The Joe Kubert School of Cartoon & Graphic Art - in 1976. His contributions to the medium cannot be overstated, and he will be deeply missed.

DC Comics will publish what is likely to be Kubert’s final output in the form of a 48-page comic titled Joe Kubert Presents in October.
