You’re probably right. My thought was that the attention tumblr has gotten recently from television shows and news organizations probably boosted the number of people signing up, even if they’re just checking out the site, and thus the tumblr servers are crashing because they can’t handle the sudden increase in users… or something.
Yeah, that’s the way you run a business right - when after 5 years of obscurity you start getting some attention, immediately drop the ball ‘cause you’re busy running around high on your ego with your head up your own ass.
Recipe for “where’d they go?” “what were they called again?” status in 4-6 months.
